c. 986-969 – Death of Harald Bluetooth

Harald Bluetooth was king of the Danes, the one who converted his people to Christianity, and the one who had a difficult relationship with his son and successor, Sweyn Forkbeard.

There are different tales about his death, and some have to do with his royal behind. One legend says he died from an arrow stuck in the behind, another that he was killed whilst relieving himself in the bushes. But perhaps he was just ambushed when resting at a camp site, or died from battlewounds… who knows.
