1043 – Battle of Lyrskov Heath

In the days when Schleswig was still a part of Denmark (nowadays it belongs to Germany) Magnus the Good fought a decisive battle against an invading Wend army on a heath nearby. The battle is mentioned by Snorri Sturluson as well as Adam of Bremen.
