Meanwhile in Estonia on the island of Saaremaa… not one but several hoards with Viking coins have been found. Two are dated around the second half of the tenth century and the late eleventh century. This is pre-Viking Age, but I just had to share. A Roman drinking glass from 200-400 CE found in Denmark. Amazingly enough, the glass is still in one piece! See the Facebook page of Arkæologi Nordjyllands Historiske Museum.
